The Double

Two figures for a single woman: the body and its shadow in dialogue on the studio wall. I hardened the light deliberately — one bare source, nothing to soften it — so the shadow would gain in sharpness what the skin lost in softness. It stretches the silhouette toward infinity, a second presence the model never sees but the image never leaves. A staging of duality: the one we are, the one we cast.
