Vermillion

Red does not sit on the skin — it inhabits it. It stretches the body, lengthens the line, sets the half-light on fire. I built this image around a single idea: let the colour be the subject, and the body its territory. One tight, single light source, so the black would swallow everything that wasn't her — and the scarlet lace would float, suspended, like a flame brought to a standstill. In this vermilion bursting against the dark, a breath remains suspended — the instant a woman surrenders to her own form.
