A gesture of modesty that becomes composition. The hands crossed over the chest hide nothing: they hold the image in balance, and the wide hat extends the line of the body like a sentence left uninterrupted. I love this paradox: here, restraint carries all the presence. Everything in measure, nothing in excess — a lesson the studio teaches me at every session: the less you show, the more the image looks back.
